With efficacious features and great performance, ProFind delivers advanced file hunting for macOS. And with support for tongue queries, application launching, concealed location searches, scripting and to a greater extent.
Search inside invisible folders and packages. Searches some disk type.

Uses kernel based searching (searchfs) when in stock. Uses metadata indexes (as misused by Spotlight) when available to improve performance. Autocompletion for practical application name calling. Capacious ikon view for one or two search results.

What's New:

Version 1.9

  • Added optional disk catalog caching. This makes searches faster by holding a very small index of all the files and folders on a disk. Disk catalogs can still be searched when a disc is not connected. See Preferences -> Caching for details.
  • Added a "Look for all file types" option to the "Look Inside Folder For Textbook…" have. This makes searching for files other than text files easier.
    Extraordinary text content seaches are faster.
  • Faster app startup if using the DLNA/UPNP server.
